In Beauty, Like the Night

Currently downloading and compiling the footage for all of the bands at Don’t Call It a Fest.

This is going to be a much bigger project than I originally anticipated. I like it.

Top Ten Bands (compliments of @shadowsandsolace)

I’m assuming this meant top ten favorite bands of all time. I’m sure I’ll want to change this later tonight or tomorrow, but as of the moment, my all time top ten favorite bands are:

1. Metallica
2. Converge
3. Glassjaw
4. Rise Against
5. Story of the Year
6. Alkaline Trio
7. Rammstein
8. The Misfits
9. Bad Religion
10. Creedence Clearwater Revival

This is probably the dorkiest fucking list of top ten favorite bands that anyone has ever put together. Oh well.

Hell yeah. That last one though, does that mean actors playing roles that are strange and unexpected for them? Or obscure/weird roles or strange cameos regardless of the actor’s body of work?

What are some lists of my “top tens” that I should make and post? I feel like putting lists together for whatever reason.

Check this out, everyone! Here is a short I wrote and directed for a newer production company I’m now working for named Royal Rock Entertainment. I’m extremely proud of how this turned out. I wrote the premise of this short a few years ago and I’ve wanted to make something that touches on the subject of war and betrayal for a very long time. In my opinion, it feels like the tail end of a story that could have been in Night Gallery or Tales From the Crypt, which were two of my favorite shows growing up.

Please watch this and if you like it, share it. Making films/shorts are the most fun when people get to watch them!

HEY! Watch this if you’re a fan of slow burning thrillers or dialogue over tone-setting atmospheric scores.

I just want to watch my girlfriend passionately kiss another girl.

Do I need to go back to playing in a shitty metalcore/deathcore band for people give a fuck about what I’m doing?
Kill me, Josh. Kill me now.

What the fuck is the point of making films/shorts if I can’t even get my own friends to sit down and watch a nine minute short? Jesus Christ. Fucking shoot me.

I’ll be releasing one of the two shorts I’ve been working on later this week. It’s a small piece about marriage and the horrors of war entitled ‘Veterans’, which a few of my talented friends helped me make.

I’m really proud of this one and hope that some of you people here in Tumblr land deem it to be something worth sharing/spreading around.
